I congratulate Commissioner of Police #Amritsar Sh Ranjit Singh Dhillon IPS and his team for solving the daylight-armed attack on #NRI #Sukhchain inside his home. On-the-spot active guidance and monitoring by Sh RN Dhoke IPS, Spl DG Internal Security and the proactive approach of DGP Punjab Sh Gaurav Yadav IPS deserves special praise. @PunjabPoliceInd @DGPPunjabPolice. I am hopeful that the two shooters having already been identified will be nabbed soon. God is kind that the injured NRI is recovering satisfactorily. Out of my experince of policing, I do feel that there is an urgent need for improvement in area security and surveillance including strengthening of the emergency response system. Besides improvement in police efforts to eliminate gaps, the local #police do need to talk to residents of the areas for home security sensitization. Out of my own precaution, I have 29 listed enemies in my diary acquired during my police service and otherwise, who can harm me so I always keep myself alert to their motives.
