This is presumably to beef up digitization, & to create new conservation posts, areas which are ripe for funding from external bodies.

The new structure gets rid of bloated management tiers in the previous proposed structure, but it's worse in many ways. Again, front line staff & regional specialisms & subject librarians have taken the brunt of the cuts. #SaveSOASLibrary #SupportSOASLibrary
