Today's #PollinatorWeek #SurprisingPollinator: Beetles! Weeping Wattle (Peltophorum africanum) and Scarab Beetle (Leucocelis vitticollis) While feeding on nectar, buds, and stems of weeping wattle, scarabs become covered in pollen, and carry it to new plants.

Today's #SurprisingPollinator for #PollinatorWeek is: Darwin’s Orchid (Angraecum sesquipedale) and Darwin’s Moth (Xanthopan morganii) Darwin predicted the long orchid spur needed a moth w/a long proboscis for pollination. After his death, this moth was discovered on Madagascar.
