Due to a collision, Wentworth Rd. near #SweetsCorner is currently closed between the Hwy. 101 interchange and Hwy. 14. Wentworth Rd. is expected to be closed for several hours. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Traffic is being diverted.

I can never forget the kind waiters of #SweetsCorner.Some afternoons,after a compulsory "stay back" in school next door (#DPS #MathuraRoad) one would crave a snack on way home.Plate of Rosogollas,Golgappas each cost Rs.1.60.If I had only 80 paise,waiters would give me 1/2 plate😢

Memories are all that remain,of #SweetsCorner in #SundarNagar #Delhi. The corner #Bhelpuri wala is still around though.And the recipe,unchanged.Bits of raw mango& anardana make it special.The gent in striped cardigan started chatting with me;together we went on a nostalgia trip.

For 1980s kids # @therealkapildev is eternal fitness icon.We #KakaNagar kids were blessed.He had family in #SundarNagar.If lucky we wld find him cycling besides us when we jogged on #Rajpath,or ran into him at #SweetsCorner chat.He shall overcome.Wishing Paaji a speedy recovery✌️

@virsanghvi Our favourite #Bhelpuri वाला had set up a permanent thela outside #SweetsCorner in #SundarNagar. His bhel was outstanding. With #NathuSweets &Bakery having reduced Sweets Corner to a shadow of its former self, I guess the glory days of that bhelwala are long over...
