Here I practiced a drawing of Nina from Breath of Fire 2, inspired by one of the game's main artist's artwork. Then, I practiced a head for anime and a head from the drawing from life book for shapes.
Today I'm announcing something I'm starting. I call it the #tddc, or Thirty Day Drawing Challenge. The goal is to draw for an hour a day and posting your work (no matter how bad it is!). The goal is to just draw for an hour a day and make steady progress. That's it.
This is mostly for me to keep track of my own work, but I hope to see others take place as well. Good luck!

It's still funny to me how when I wanted to reproduce the Kua Toa cloaking/decloaking effect from #TDDC 21, it took me like an hour to figure out how I'd even done it. That's an hour WORKING WITH THE SOURCE FILE.

In Kuar, 'up' is metaphorically bad and 'down' is good, d/t Deluvians' positive association with the depths.
But at least they are consistent in this regard; much easier than translating into a language where up and down's meaning is contextual, like Drow... or "English" #TDDC

Man, when I was making Sea of Secrets 01, I was like "I should re-use that awesome cloaking/decloaking animation I did years ago in #TDDC 23, even WITH that raw file, it took me hours and hours to figure out WTF I did to make it look that cool...

FunFact: #TDDC Sea of Secrets episode 1 required me to draw about 25 new characters who have dialogue or otherwise matter (at least a little).
That's not counting the more copy-and-paste-y crowds I needed because the episode takes place in a big cosmopolitan fantasy city!
