Dex, with his wild temper and unpredictable moods, was always ready for chaos. Baz, on the other hand, was the calm, robotic guardian, cool and collected. Together, they made the perfect (if dysfunctional) team, roaming Arcadia for wild adventures. But today? Today would take things to a whole new level. It all started when they decided to stop at a shady dive bar on the outskirts of Arcadia, a place where trouble and adventure often crossed paths. The bar, “The Cosmic Roar,” was filled with all manner of beings: aliens, smugglers, and space pirates. Dex, being his usual impulsive self, took one look at the collection of strange drinks on display and grinned. “I’ll take your strongest!” he announced, slapping a handful of Crank on the bar. Baz glanced over, half-interested, busy analyzing the exit points, always ready for danger. “Are you sure about that?” he warned. Dex waved him off with a wild laugh. One drink led to another, and soon Dex was well beyond tipsy. He was downright drunk and that’s when things started to go south. First, Dex decided it’d be a great idea to arm wrestle a four-armed alien twice his size. Then, after losing spectacularly, he declared the match rigged, his fur bristling with rage. “This place is a scam!” Dex bellowed, standing on the bar and pounding his chest. Patrons started to stare, and Baz groaned. “Dex, get down before you start—" Too late. Dex launched himself at the alien, throwing a punch that only an ape with a couple of space whiskies in him would attempt. Chaos erupted instantly. Tables flipped, chairs flew, and suddenly half the bar was caught up in the melee. Baz, with his cybernetic patience wearing thin, sighed heavily. “Here we go again.” His mechanical arms whirred as he grabbed Dex by the scruff, effortlessly pulling him out of the fight. But by then, the whole bar was in an uproar. Baz tossed Dex over his shoulder, lasers from his eyes scanning for a clear path through the brawl. “Time to go,” he grumbled, avoiding a bottle that smashed beside him. “I could’ve taken ‘em!” Dex slurred, fists still swinging wildly in the air. “Sure you could’ve,” Baz replied, dodging a punch from a very angry lizard-man as they barreled through the exit. With Dex still shouting in protest, Baz finally got them out into the night, the sounds of the fight growing distant behind them. They stood in the neon-lit street, the cool night air doing nothing to sober Dex up. “I won, right?” Dex asked, his eyes half-closed, already forgetting the chaos he had just caused. Baz smirked and shook his head. “Yeah, buddy. You won.” Tomorrow, they'd deal with the consequences. For now, though, Dex and Baz walked off into the night—one a drunken, stumbling ape and the other, a half-exasperated, half-amused cyborg bear.
