TLH Almanac from Tuesday 7.23.24
If you're keeping track, that's 9 straight days with at least a trace of precipitation in the official rain bucket. #THISisJuly #soHUMID
11:30am mix of hot and humid. There aren't a lot of showers on RADAR yet, so expect things to get a bit hotter and more uncomfortable this afternoon. #soHUMID #HOTandHUMID #THISisJuly
The warm and humid rolls on for several more days, so do the afternoon/evening shower chances. All this humidity should mean at least patchy morning fog too. #THISisJuly #soHUMID #SHOWERScoming #FIAM
The humid pattern with plenty of chances for showers and storms rolls on. Very little change is expected all week. #soHUMID #SHOWERScoming #THISisJuly #QGforecast
There still isn't much change coming in this very stagnant weather pattern. That means plenty of opportunities for those afternoon showers & storms, w/the very humid conditions each day. #THISisJuly #SummerStorms #soHUMID #QGforecast
TLH Almanac from Sunday 7.21.24.
There's been a trace of rain or more each day going back to the 15th of July, yesterday's .67" was the most on a single day in that stretch. #THISisJuly #SummerStorms
The RADAR has action but it's still spotty. More of this is expected into the afternoon. #SHOWERScoming #THISisJuly
Rain chances (for the scattered showers, not everybody gets wet all the time rain) are higher and for a little more of the day on Fri & Sat. Spots that miss out on the showers or have to wait the longest will get to the mid 90s. #moreSHOWERS #HOTandHUMID #THISisJuly #QGforecast
Heat Advisory for Today. Heat Index Values around 108 or higher in many areas today are likely. That's dangerous hot and humid. Be careful out in the heat this afternoon. #soHOT #HOTandHUMID #NeedMoreShowers #THISisJuly
Lots of the same for the next several days. It's all about who is lucky enough to get the afternoon showers (or if we can get a little extra energy at other parts during the day to kick up a few more). Highs into the 90s, and for several hours each day. #QGforecast #THISisJuly
Final numbers on a Soggy July at TLH.
We are well ahead of normal rain for 2022, and for the past 12 months, and especially for the past 61 days! #THISisJuly #SHOWERScoming
The NOT-SO-HOT JULY temperature log for TLH.
only 20 days at 90+ and only 6 days at 95+ (97 on the 7th was the hottest). #THISisJuly
Action starting to pick up on RADAR... those showers are moving from SW to NE. #SHOWERScoming #THISisJuly
Shower chances remain pretty high today, but not as high as the past 3 days. Very humid, some sun, more scattered showers as we transition toward a hotter and less showery weekend. #THISisJuly #soHUMID #stillSHOWERS
TLH Almanac from Wednesday 7.20.22
Only 4 times so far in July did TLH NOT record some rain.
16 of 20 days there's been rain recorded at the airport. #THISisJuly
Still a pretty active RADAR. The sun is peeking out in places too. A little something for everyone!! #SUNandRAIN #THISisJuly
Some showers spreading N early this morning... More are on the way at times today. #moreSHOWERS #THISisJuly
Lots of available moisture will yield some showers the next few days, but not as many as last week. A little more sunshine by mid-week and the daytime temperatures climb a little higher into the 90s. #THISisJuly #soHUMID #QGforecast
#200daysofwalking beautiful morning.#Burren ... can't account for the "pΓΊicΓn"(π€).... sheep in shade already! #thisisjuly...
A few fewer ingredients for the showers/storms these next few days. There still will be some showers, but not as many. That leads to more hot and more hours of hot and humid. #THISisJuly #ComeOnShowers #soHOT #HOTandHUMID
