While #TAVR has emerged as the standard of care for many patients with Aortic Valve disease,it is interesting to know that the first transcatheter valve replacement was actually performed on Pulmonic Valve (TPVR)by #DrPhilipBonhoeffer in 2000,2 years before first TAVR. #TPVR

It was so difficult to advance the 14Fr Mullin sheath through the pre-dilated 22 Contegra conduit (with 20mm Z-med 🎈) to do pre-stenting with BeGraft Aortic Bentley covered stent to implant #Melody valve 22mm. We used the BAT (Balloon assisted tracking) with #Armada🎈8×80mm to advance the sheath and to fix the sheath while unfolding the loop. It worked like a charm.
