Hoy, el comisionado residente Pablo José Hernández emitió un comunicado condenando enérgicamente lo que llamó la “ejecución de Alex Pretti” y alegando que va a “fiscalizar las acciones de ICE y de Homeland Security”. Lo que el comisionado no dice es que Alex Pretti intervino en medio de un operativo federal portando una pistola semiautomática de 9 mm cargada, mientras los agentes intentaban arrestar a un extranjero ilegal buscado por asalto violento. Según los informes del DHS, Pretti sacó el arma y resistió el arresto violentamente.
Las expresiones del comisionado son una irresponsabilidad. Estas se suman a las de varios políticos del Partido Demócrata que atentan contra la seguridad y el trabajo de los oficiales de ICE que protegen nuestras fronteras y a nuestra nación. Se quejan de las redadas bajo el gobierno del presidente Trump, pero no dicen que Biden deportó a 778,000 indocumentados en su último año (2024); esto es 155,000 personas más de lo que ha hecho el gobierno de Trump en este año. ¿Y cómo lo hizo? De la misma forma en que se está haciendo ahora. La diferencia es que actualmente hay politiqueros del Partido Demócrata agitando a las masas para que infrinjan la ley e intervengan. Lo que suceda por estar agitando al pueblo indebidamente es responsabilidad de estos políticos.
