#TV5FirstAlert: After yesterday's hail storms, we're in for another round Monday. Enjoy the nice weather today, but stay alert this afternoon and evening. Hail and wind are the main threats, but a tornado can't be ruled out.
#TV5FirstAlert: Pretty big upgrade for severe weather chances today. Stay aware this afternoon & evening. All forms of severe weather are possible (hail, wind, tornadoes). With a warm front close by, storms could easily rotate.

#TV5FirstAlert: Our main concern in the WNEM area tonight (in addition to freezing rain), would be the possibility of large hail (greater than 2" in the dashed area on the hail outlook). The tornado threat is mainly along and south of I-94. Strong wind gusts are also possible.
#TV5FirstAlert: Wind chills could be as cold as -30 in the Extreme Cold Warning area on Friday. Wind chills between -15 and -25 can be expected in the advisory. Frostbite times 10 minutes or less in the warning area.
#TV5FirstAlert: Most consistent snow occurs from midnight through the early commute. Rates may approach or exceed 1" per hr at times. Rough timeline on mixing for our southern areas is between about 5 AM to 10 AM.

#TV5FirstAlert: Things are underway to our west this afternoon. The risk is higher to the west of us in the TV5 viewing area tonight, but we still think this is worth watching through the evening. Our question locally is, will storms remain severe by the time they arrive?

#TV5FirstAlert: Our severe weather risk for today has increased, especially in the southern half of the state near I-94. Wind is the main threat, but hail, and an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
Timing of risk is roughly 5-11 PM.
#TV5FirstAlert: 6 PM - 2 AM will be a time frame to keep an eye on storms as they move in tonight. It's not our biggest severe weather threat we've ever seen, but there's plenty of wind aloft and these high shear events can be tricky in Michigan.
Main threat is strong winds.
