¡Buenos días my friends, Cup’O’Joe in hand, #TakeThePowerbackTuesday is here with the #StokeLevelSolid. We have cool temps at the #HippieHaus and partly cloudy skies. The snow will be Firm & Fast, softening through the day, with temps peaking around 48º. Sierra Sit-Rep: • The Surface: #EarlyBird gets the #FreshCord for your knifing pleasure. Off-piste will be crusty and wind-affected on most aspects. • The Inversion: It’s another “Upside Down” start. Truckee is a chilly 16ºF, while Kirkwood Chair 6 is sitting at 38ºF. • The Hope: NWS forecasters are hinting at a pattern change towards the End of Month (EOM). Ensembles show signs of “multiple storms rolling through the Sierra,” though confidence remains low. Socrates' Wisdom for the Chairlift: “True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us.” Tahoe Sector Intel: https://t.co/0ZdePGLBF8 Sector Data (Verified @ 0615 PST) Regional Temperatures: • South Lake Tahoe: 16ºF • Truckee: 16ºF • Kirkwood Chair 6: 38ºF º Palisades Siberia: 39ºF Regional Winds (Light): • HippieHaus: SSE 3mph • KirkwoodMtn: SW 14/16mph • Palisades: W 10/14mph Roads (CalTrans @ 0601 PST): • Status: Clear & Open. • Advisories: None active in Sierra. Valley Commuters: Watch for dense fog/low clouds. The Bottom Line: It’s a day for the on-piste cord and the park laps. The weather is holding steady, giving us clear roads and accessible terrain. While the pow-hounds are restless, the long-range charts are offering a glimmer of hope for the end of January. Until then, enjoy the sunshine, support the TJFS young guns at KirkwoodMtn this weekend, and keep’yr-edges sharp. Stay’nThirsty for POW Coop | RS#69
