Itโs time to get back to highlighting some of my favorite tech tools.
I have fallen in love with Intent.
Intent is a meal planner app. I love to cook even during the busiest times of year. Yet, finding new recipes, planning and mixing up dinner was taking more brain power than I had to spare after a day of work. With Intent, I can plan breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks. No leftovers.
My diet became complicated after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. So, I describe myself as a pescatarian with a side of bacon.
Intent offers a wide range of recipes tailored to your dietary preferences and goals, allowing you to explore new dishes without the stress of decision-making. You can add personal recipes or import your favorite ones. It also generates shopping lists which you can send to Instacart with a click.

This vendor takes all of my coins ๐ฉ but I wouldn't have it any other way. This week's highlight goes to Thomson Reuter's UltraTax CS (UT).
Here are 3 reasons why solo or small practitioners should consider purchasing UltraTax.
๐ฅIt's comprehensive. It is designed to save you time on every return giving you more time to focus on the client experience, #FirmManagement and sales.
I built my firm on the philosophy that the client experience will be my differentiator. If I am spending all day preparing and/or reviewing tax returns, when do I have time to WOW my clients. Competence is the baseline. What is going to set me apart? #CX
๐ฅIt scales with you. As your firm grows, you likely will take on more complex clients (think multi-state, interim closes, apportionment). UT effortlessly handles these complexities.
As my firm grew, the types of returns were outgrowing my current software. One year, I had to manually do (I think) 5 interim closes for almost a dozen partners partners in Excel. My program only did the pro-ration method. I said never again.
