Dear techbros,
HELL NO!! Percayalah mereka SEBANDING dengan anda, hanya BERBEDA jenis kecerdasan dan kreativitas-nya.
Contohnya era tech winter yg kita alami sekarang. You might be a genius coder, tapi tanpa mereka yang cerdas bisnis dan finansial, aka jago CARI DUIT, jeniusmu GAK KEPAKE. Simple as.
They need us, YES. But without them using our work we means NOTHING. Teknologi ada dimaksudkan untuk MEMBANTU kehidupan jd lebih baik, BUKAN JADI KEHIDUPAN itu sendiri.

🌟Hey techies, I hope you are doing well in your careers 🌟
📍We feel really blessed with wordings that our first program on tech winter break which was DEVBYTES : web dev odessy is a success🎉🎉

#AGENDASINDIKASI
Janji gaji tinggi dan fleksibilitas kerja kerap jadi alasan anak muda ramai-ramai ingin kerja di bidang teknologi, dan gabung ke start up. Tapi, belakangan situasi berubah.

Indonesia tidak sedang baik2 aja gaes... semua lini industri 3 bulan kedepan akan banyak layoff massal ... dibutuhkan pemimpin negarawan yg berpihak pada rakyat kebijakannya... #startup #techwinter #layoffmassal

So, apparently, there is a #techwinter in #Industrial3DPrinting. Well, people have been going about #AdditiveManufacturing the wrong way all along.
#AM is not a separate way of building physical things, it's an integral part of a larger #DigitalManufacturing chain. It needs to evolve to be a good citizen in an ecosystem of lights-out, integrated digital manufacturing processes. As long as it stays this boutique separate silo, that doesn't connect to anything, it will languish in a world where we need to build functional products, and not one-offs or prototypes.
Here's what is needed for our physical products to evolve to the next level.
Lift product design to a new level using Computational Engineering Models
Unless we evolve our engineering paradigm to a new level, we will be stuck with people laboriously drafting objects by hand in #CAD. This slows innovation to a creep, as witnessed by the evolution of our physical world in the past 50 years. If innovation in engineering is slow, pressure on manufacturing processes to change will continue to be low. If innovation pushes the boundaries of manufacturability, the production technology will have to adapt.
Physics Informed Neural Networks (#PINNs)
It is too hard to evaluate novel designs with traditional ways of physical simulation. We need to train neural nets on simulation results and manufacturing results. This way, we can close the loop between a #ComputationalEngineering Model, and physical reality. A #PINN gives us an intuitive instant feedback about the feasibility of a design. As a result, we can create working products, ready for production in #digitalmanufacturing #fabs.
Digital Integrated Manufacturing Cells
We need to move to a manufacturing paradigm that is flexible, #lightsout (no human intervention), digital, and integrated in a self-contained cell. Such a cell takes a digital file as input and goes through several manufacturing and finishing steps, until it produces a finished product.
It is entirely feasible to build such a cell for certain classes of products, and certain types of materials. But it requires breaking down barriers between separate processes, software systems, and conventional approaches to driving these disparate systems.
A unified approach
A digital integrated manufacturing cell can only work, if it is driven by a comprehensive computational model, that "understands" all of the processes involved. In our current world, we output 3D models, which are a visual representation of what we want to build. These 3D models are then processed by various "preparation" systems, to produce input, such as slices, or CNC paths, for the actual manufacturing process. All of these systems are driven by people, and rely on tribal knowledge.
Instead, the output of a Computational Engineering Model needs to be the direct input to the manufacturing process. In other words, yes, you are creating a 3D model for the user to inspect, but you are actually created G-Code for the mill, slices for the 3D printer, and robot control code, etc.
Only if we move to that level can we move to a flexible integrated way of building things.
How far off is that?
Very far or not far at all. Very far, because every single vendor of parts in this pipeline is currently defending their little island, instead of looking at the big picture. #AM vendors are competing for their slice of a very small pie (3D printing is a tiny part of manufacturing), instead of opening up their systems to be integrated into a larger whole.
Not far at all, because ultimately all the parts are there. If you took all the parts and integrated them into a whole system, both on the hardware and on the software side, you could quickly converge on a first version of this idea.
A dedicated team could do in in less that 18 months for a meaningful initial cell, that produces metal parts.
At @leap_71 we @LissnerJosefine has already done some meaningful work in integrating #AM and other manufacturing processes like #CNCMilling and #LaserEtching.
It will be interesting if this can become a larger movement which can move #Industrial3DPrinting to a much larger market share.

When will the long #techwinter end?
“Employment is not a guarantee, because shareholders don’t pay salaries. Markets go up & down. So, let’s get used to net #jobcreation,” @sabharwalmanish, Vice Chairman, @TeamLease told NDTV.

Rough years for the tech industry are only a blip. Globally, companies may have gone on the defensive but we believe attack is the best defense. This is the best time to be on the lookout for great talent.
