🌟 Strengthening the Future of Lamu’s Children 🌟 From 29th to 31st October 2025, our Executive Director Madam Rahma and Ms. Umulkher Ahmed joined fellow members of the #Technical_Working_Group (TWG) for a three-day Lamu County #ChildProtectionPolicy Finalization and Sensitization Workshop held at Malindi Pearl Hotel, Malindi. The workshop sponsored by @FCDCKenya and @akuihd , in partnership with the @LamuCountyKe brought together passionate minds from #countydepartments, #partners, and #local NGOs, all united by one mission: to create a safer, more secure future for every #child in Lamu County. 💡 Day 1: The TWG dove deep into the draft #policy, reviewing, refining, and bridging #gaps to make it stronger and more responsive to the needs of #children. 🤝 Day 2: They met with County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) to share updates, gain feedback, and secure executive support for #childprotection initiatives. 🏛️ Day 3: The journey culminated with an engagement between the TWG, the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), and the Governor — who reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to championing child protection and pledged to mobilize #resources once the policy is #adopted. By the close of the workshop, there was a shared sense of purpose, a commitment from all stakeholders to protect, empower, and nurture the next generation. 👏@Mwarpkenya is proud to have been part of this milestone moment in shaping the Lamu County Child Protection Policy, ensuring every child grows up safe, supported, and heard. #ChildProtection #MWARPImpact
