At this point, it’s painfully self-evident that social media is driving tens of millions into mental ruin, and deranging vast swaths of society along the way. Spend five minutes around a full-time “professional influencer,” and you’ll see it’s warping them most of all. I lived down the street from an IG “influencer house” in LA one summer, and hung out there a good bit: that entire “industry” is quietly going insane.
