@BBCBreaking My friend was alerted by the app. She'd been clearing out her house in preparation for a move and hadn't been in contact with anyone! Only time she went out was as a passenger in her husband's car and didn't get out & he didn't get alerted #TestandTraceapp

2 of my friends separately used the #testandtraceapp to scan the QR code in McDonalds and are now being bombarded with cold calls. Who's selling phone numbers? Serco or McDonalds? #serco

#TestandTraceapp this app took my battery from 98% to 45% in 3 hours without me using it. Normally it would have gone down about 10% in that time.

@NHSCOVID19app I went to a restaurant last night with my dad. We didn't go near anyone else & kept ourselves safe but if another diner tests positive in a week's time this app would alert me and tell me to self isolate. Bollocks! #TestandTraceapp

So apparently NHS test and trace are supposed to contact you to get a list of those you’ve been in contact recently if you test positive for covid.... it’s been 4 days since I was confirmed positive and have had no contact 🙄 #TestAndTraceApp #testingshambles #COVID19

@BBCPanorama @vicderbyshire @BBCOne Will you actually tell the nation clearly that it is NOT #NHS #TestAndTraceApp or service but a SERCO et al outsourced privatised mess? If you are not clear on this (& use if NHS logo in your tweet is a BIG red flag) then this has zero value. Do your jobs. Change your tweet!!!!

The #TestAndTraceApp email is poorly written. Authoritarian, grandiose, unclear call to action. Copywriters are hugely undervalued. Take up will remain low until #TestAndTrace stop thinking about what they want, and focus on what people need.
