I’m an #eyebeam alum artist and a program advisor to the final, culminating phase of their fellowship of art and activism, #TheDemocracyMachine. I have always had an aversion to strict categories and binaries and believe that being an artist does not mandate adherence to a specific modality, numerous paths exist to embody artistic expression. Eyebeam is an organization that recognizes and appreciates this. They have also offered many other genre-bending artists such as myself the opportunity to experiment, create, and speak loudly and clearly, without the fear of being silenced.
