I am convinced that #thenetworkstate is the default future for humanity but how it will emerge? There are not one but many probably right answers.
1. It will emerge where community-powered cryptocurrency is growing and deepening.
2. Will it be dApp or a protocol? Most probably, it will be a dApp or single app-chain but a small chance is possible that it can be a protocol too.
3. What kind of dApp can it be? The first condition is where TAM (Total Addressable Market) size is big and can absorb a dozen similar dApps.
4. The second condition is that it should attract both men and women, both old and young, both upper middle and lower middle class.
5. The third condition is that this dApp should have not one single use case rather it should allow an ecosystem of use cases inside it.
6. It means that if you want it to be Airbnb, it should also enable multi-currency swaps.
7. It means that if you want a dApp to an e-commerce platform, it should allow loyalty coupons, re-selling of second-hand goods and a good chat application, all-in-one.
8. If you want it to be streaming OTT dApp, it should be able to tokenize movies/reels as well as community-owned ticketing platform also.
9. The biggest shift in dApp vs App would be that dApp would be for multiple use whereas App was for a single use.
10. dApps would be a community universe while Apps were VC/founders' controlled universe.
11. dApps would have inbuilt mechanisms to win fiat vs. crypto bias. dApps would bypass the institutional gating that was successfully imposed on national cryptocurrency exchanges.
12. Any dApp founder would have to make not user but community member the core focus of the project. Please don't forget that a user is just a user but a community member is 100x than that.
13. Crypto ventures will die if they are made only for profit but they will be damn big if they are made for community empowerment.
14. The last and the major necessity for a dApp to become #thenetworkstate would be a new belief system.
15. The biggest problem with dApps today is that their beliefs are primarily entertainment and profit. This is a typical mindset borrowed from the web2. If you make this your goal, someone will come with better dopamine-hit and higher profit.
16. Ask yourself which dApp has survived the last 10 or even five years with a rising community. If you can find any, you will be lucky.
17. That is why belief system is mandatory for dApp ecosystem to grow.
18. The basic rule for this is to move away from individualism.
19. If mortgage growth in the last 50 years was based on "My Home-for-life", the future should be "My Home-for-this-season", a prepaid rental NFT platform for shared housing can make this happen. Don't borrow rather own a utility right for a fixed duration.
20. Same with mobility. Own a vehicle for fixed hours, days or weeks via uber-like dApps.
21. Same with e-commerce but marry Flipkart with OLX/QUIKR and build a PayTM inside this.
22. Same with dating apps. Don't build a direct matchmaking platform like Tinder or Bumble only as they lack social interaction, serendipity and commitment filters. Rather, build a web3 version of "Facebook-for-love" with crypto-powered communities and a unique view-point on marriage and relationships.
23. Crypto needs to bring back novelty factor. Remember those days when Bitcoin came for the first time. The air was so fresh during those days. Remember those days when people mined Ethereum on their GPUs. Imagine people for a new wealth-building culture.
24. Let the public become investors again the way it happened during ICO era. Bring back those novelty factors again so that you can see tens of millions of dApp using community members thriving with money and values.
