Very glad i was cyber bullied into doing #TheWireWithMike because this was a super dope show to binge watch with how it subtly dove into so many difference aspects of crime, race and American policing. Bunch of the themes still relevant today.
Ok one last thing
This isn’t breaking news or anything but I do think it’s worth saying: The Wire has some of the best writing I’ve come across. Truly brilliant stuff. #TheWireWithMike
The combination of writing + acting with Bubbs is legitimately perfect. In every way. Easily my favorite character. #TheWireWithMike

You’d think McNulty would have gotten tired of risking it all, being right and *still* feeling empty in the end. But nah, he’s as much an addict as Bubbs was. I guess the game really is the game. #TheWireWithMike
We have gone thru such a journey with Bubbs. We arguably don’t get better range from any other character, not even Omar or McNulty. His anniversary speech felt so right. Almost stood up when he said “I didn’t get high.” #TheWireWithMike
See, how Michael did Snoop was perfect. Perfect buildup, execution, dialogue, etc. the killings don’t have to be dramatic but all the main ppl should die with purpose. Even bodie, Wallace, Dee, Prop Joe and Butchie got that much. #TheWireWithMike
Back to Omar’s death right fast. Woulda made more sense for Michael to kill Omar. Kenard doing it is so random compared to the ways all the other main characters went out. Usually set up multiple scenes in advance. Has more emotion to it. Omar ain’t get that. #TheWireWithMike
I actually liked that Marlo was basically in his Kawhi Leonard bag the whole series but this “my name is my name” speech, albeit brief, was fire. But, I mean, I gotta say: his priorities are a little off considering the circumstances lol #TheWireWithMike
What a lazy way for Omar to die smh. I didn’t expect him to go out guns blazing or anything but still, his character deserved more than that. #TheWireWithMike
It always blows my mind meeting cats like Clay Davis. Someone who is technically lying but legitimately in his heart believes he is telling the truth, despite the fact we have proof of the contrary. I know a few ppl like that. They all sick in the head lol #TheWireWithMike
I know this is supposed to be 2007 or whatever but this whole serial killer of homeless men bit feels super farfetched. Feels like they just ran outta things for drunk McNulty to obsess over and picked the wildest possible idea lol #TheWireWithMike

Everyone loves Omar and I get that. I love him too. But this Marlo guy — 4 episodes in season 5, at least — Marlo is as smooth as a silk durag covering a perm. Idk if I like him as much as I respect him — which is probably what he’d prefer anyway. #TheWireWithMike

McNulty has been a drunk this whole series, so it’s no surprise he turns into Sherlock Holmes on steroids when he’s off the bottle. But you knew he lost his mind when he spent 3 days drinking a *pint* of Jameson #TheWireWithMike
There’s not a lot of slapping in this show, which is a shame because there have been several worthwhile candidates in every season. For instance, Clay Davis could use a couple across each cheek. Might change his tune a little bit. #TheWireWithMike
Not looking forward to a storyline where McNulty’s focus is insubordination, alcoholism and infidelity. Been there, seen that. Even if his instinct drove the first three seasons of storylines. #TheWireWithMike
I liked seasons 3 and 4. @ryan_s_clark anticipated season 5 will be my favorite. We’ll see. Time to fire it up. #TheWireWithMike
