If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the LORD will reward you.* I would like to think that I don't have any enemies. The truth is that there are people who just do not like me. And, if I'm truthful, there are people that I don't care to be around. I'm not better than anyone. At all. Perhaps if I know of a need in their lives, such as food, water, or assistance of some type and I meet their need, we just may find common ground. We may look at each other differently as a result of shame for prior personal opinions of one another. Who knows, a friendship may occur. The LORD will reward such actions. He's all about relationship mending. God sent His Son to earth to heal a relationship that we (I) broke. * Colossians 1:21-22 NLT — This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.* He's good like that. I love you.
