What makes up #TheWriteShare? We want to see licensing for news content online. Reliable news content has never been more important. However, journalists are struggling to sustain their careers among stagnant pay and job losses, which increased by 48% in 2023 1/2
What makes up #TheWriteShare? #AuthorSHARE is a scheme that pays writers when their books are sold by second-hand online retailers. Retailers participate in order to contribute to a more sustainable model of book consumption @Wob_group @LitalistBooks 1/2
It’s essential we find a balance between supporting human creativity and enabling useful technologies to develop, #TheWriteShare calls on the government to put in place proper mechanisms to protect creators - consent and compensation should be key in further AI development 2/2
What makes up #TheWriteShare? Next we’re calling for generative #AI licensing. This technology has exploded but at the expense of creators, whose copyrighted works are being used without consent, credit or compensation 1/2
