A successful hunt for obsidian tools from Serbia is completed!

Our team is currently analyzing pottery samples from various sites. The primary analyses are being conducted in EDXRF spectrometry. Besides the potsherds, analyses are being conducted on raw clay.

Before analyzing , pottery must be prepared. Important thing is to preserve the integrity of the piece. For the EDXRF analytical procedure, the fragment was flattened in several places. The pieces were cleaned and dried.

Tin is a silvery-colored metal and rare element. Importance of tin lies in the fact that it is necessary for the production of bronze. The provenance of tin within THE FLOW project is of utmost importance for the source of bronze artifacts.
