Last night, we celebrated the grand opening of Santa Fe Trail Middle School's new building! During the ceremony, SFT Principal Mr. J.J. Libal, Superintendent Dr. Brent Yeager, and Board of Education President Dr. Stacey Yurkovich welcomed guests, including current and former staff members, families, students, and the engineers, designers, architects, and construction teams who made this project possible. 8th Grade Student Gabby Walker spoke about the impact of SFT students and the excitement surrounding the new building and its innovative learning spaces. She delivered her message in both English and Spanish, reflecting the diversity of Santa Fe Trail's community. Additionally, students involved in Boy Scouts presented the flags and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. After the ceremony, families and community members were invited to tour the new building, where they could see firsthand how the SFT legacy has been preserved and modernized to meet the needs of our students. This new building was made possible by funds from the 2022 bond, and we extend our deepest gratitude to the patrons and community members who supported this project. #OPSMakeTodayCount
