It's a year today since our message to Esme's mum @hansummers went viral. It inspired people around the globe to show women can be firefighters. In the last year, on average, 40% of our new recruits have been female 👩🚒🚒

A lovely tribute and gift @Bromley_Dave. Manjeet has worked for our service for many years and issued uniforms to hundreds of our firefighters and staff, among many other duties! He's definitely one of the unsung heroes of West Midlands Fire Service! #ThisIsWMFS #ThisIsOurStory
30 yrs ago Manjeet issued my first uniform. His smile was and still is infectious. He is the nicest man in the fire service. Today I showed my respect for him by having a Turban badge made specially for him. To see how proud he was will last with me forever. Thanks @worcmedals
