I am able to put torque up to 350Nm on fastners and can remove them with my #BreakerBar as easy as a buttercup from a flower stem. I have #EN388 #PPE gloves to protect my hands

For this year I have only been able to purchase specialized precision tools #TorqueWrenches #HexBits #DeepImpactSockets in both #SAE and #metric ranges. I also purchased #PPE equipment to work safely with the tools.

Left threaded fastners are few on the jobs I have to do, with only the pedals on my racemachines. Now of course the pedal is also removed with my 1/2" rachet, reduced to 3/8 so it can break faster with ease using the hexbit

I have planned a 2nd 1/4"drive #TorqueWrench that one will be a #DualDirection tool, applying precise #Torque with and against clock. It is needed since I want to torque my right pedal also at its designated value

So tighten with the #TorqueWrench loosen with oversized rachets with reducers at places where your 24" or 48" #BreakerBar is overkill.
Both actions should be done with ease. If you have 2 force either you are using the wrong tool

The motivation is that the 3/8" rachet will work like a breakerbar since it is much longer that your 1/4" drive rachet. The 1/2" drive racher is also much larger than your 3/8" drive fasting rachet.

I use my 1/2" rachtet with a 1/2" to 3/8" reducer to loosen my hexbits on that range up to 10mm IIRC. When I need to loosen hexbits at 6mm or less, I use my 3/8" rachet with a 3/8" to 1/4" reducer.

I should only do such tests, when I have a second new #TorqueWrench so I can continue with that one while I have the 1st one re-calibrated

Did I damage my #TorqueWrench? No Why was it still wrong? The factory warns you that you can throw off the calibration of your delicate tool. Was I right that it would not happen? Yes, 2.26Nm is at the bottom of the range of the 1/4" drive tool

Did I read my manual? Yes, did I study torque on youtube, yes, thoroughly. Where did I go wrong? I wanted to test out what would happen. The hexbolt was fastened with about 2.26Nm so I knew I could not break the #TorqueWrench

Always read your #TorqueWrench manual esp if its your first one! I did THE major screwup with my 1/4" drive #TorqueWrench which is loosen a fastner.
