Fourth District Court of Appeal has upheld the conviction of Tim Ferriter, who was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
He was found convicted of child abuse, false imprisonment & child neglect for confining his teenage son (known as “RF”) in an 8-by-8-foot windowless box built room in the family’s garage. The boy had no control over the lights or air conditioning & he was forced to use a bucket as a toilet.

He was convicted in 2023 of locking his adopted son (known only as “RF”) in an by-8-foot box room built in the family’s Palm Beach County garage. The boy had no control over the lights or air conditioning & he was forced to use a bucket as a toilet!
Tim Ferriter was sentenced to 5 years in prison after he was found guilty of aggravated child abuse, false imprisonment & child neglect.
Tim Ferriter is now appealing his conviction!
His attorneys argue that evidence of prior abuse in Arizona unfairly prejudiced the jury & should never have been admitted at trial. They allege the the trial court abused its discretion by allowing prosecutors to present extensive evidence about how Tim Ferriter treated his son during the time the family lived in Arizona before moving to Florida 🤔
Back then at trial, “RF” (Tim’s son / the victim) took the stand & told the court & his father that “he still loved him” but he described being locked up as “dehumanizing & like genocide” 😣
The appellate court did not issue a ruling yet.

#OnTheDocket The hearing meant to take place today for #TimFerriter has been rescheduled for next week 1/9 where the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office will argue that he should be transported to prison where the State will foot the bill, while awaiting his appeal.

On the docket today: #TracyFerriter due in court this morning at 8:30am eastern. Tracy’s husband #TimFerriter was found guilty of felony child abuse & sentenced to 5 years in prison. Will be interesting to see if Tracy has found yet another atty to rep her. This would be her 3rd

This child Abuser makes #TimFerriter seem like Ward Cleaver.
She kept her 14/15 year old on a blue tarp in his own urine in a tiny space, forced him to consume hot sauce and take ice baths as punishments. Ultimately, her son died of starvation and hypothermia. What a horrible death.
But she will proudly tell you she was magna cum laude and passed her BAR on the first attempt.
A sadistic narcissist perhaps...judging from her words and actions. And No empathy.

I keep these cases in the spotlight because we as neighbors, friends, and co-workers need to remain vigilant. When we hear or see something is amiss we need to ask questions. Abuse is all around us.
