@meander061 @campyalien I went to a generic science fiction con in San Jose, CA - #TimeCon (originally #DoctorWho, branched out...), when #SciFi was beginning to launch, in '91 & they passed out posters promoting the channel with signatures of luminaries, including #GeneRoddenberry. 🖖💚🛸😃❤️👽🚀🛸

@salty_nerd I started attending cons in 1973. I think the best overall was #TimeCon, held in San Jose, CA between 1984 and '92. It was a multifandom con. Best one was the one in '90. The main reason to go a con was just to suspend real life for a few days while having fun with other fans.

@PaulRENAUDart I met @GeorgeTakei at a scifi convention (pour one out for #Timecon in San Jose) to sign my copy of the Star Trek comic he wrote. He was very gracious and sang an improvised song for me!

Found this wonderful photo I shot of Nicholas Courtney & @thenicolabryant from #TimeCon in San Jose, CA. Late 80s, early 90s? That was one of my first cons and I was so excited to meet Peri & the Brig! #DoctorWho

I still miss #TheBrig. I met him at #timecon in the 90s and nervously gushed at the signing and the Q & A and he was as warm and friendly as you could want.

Just reminiscing about what a great time we had at #TimeCon! Wonderful to see so many people who are as obsessed with precision and timekeeping as we are! Thanks again, @AWCInstitute !
