हालात ऐसे बना दिए गए कि पार्षदों को मजबूरी में बस के शीशे तोड़कर बाहर निकलना पड़ा। महिला पार्षदों को भी बस से कूदकर बाहर निकलना पड़ा।
21 सितंबर को वोटिंग से पहले 2 दिन तक राजस्थान पुलिस और हरियाणा पुलिस ने सत्ता के इशारे पर कांग्रेस के पार्षदों को बंधक बनाकर रखा, ताकि वो अपने वोट का इस्तेमाल न कर सकें।
सोचिए.. जिस BJP को राजस्थान की जनता ने नकार दिया, उसने प्रदेशभर में लोकतंत्र को लूटने के लिए सत्ता के दुरुपयोग से लेकर पुलिसिया तंत्र के बेजा इस्तेमाल तक तानाशाही के क्या-क्या हथकंडे अपनाए हैं।
सत्ता के दम पर चुने हुए कांग्रेस पार्षदों पर फर्जी मुकदमे लगाए गए, जबरन उठाया गया, बंधक बनाया गया, धमकाया गया, ताकी उनसे वोटिंग का अधिकार छीन सकें। लेकिन भाजपाई सत्ता की सारी ताकत के बावजूद तिजारा की जनता की ताकत के आगे तानाशाही को झुकना पड़ा।
भाजपा और पुलिस के शिकंजे से निकलकर रात 10 बजे कांग्रेस पार्षदों ने तिजारा पहुंचकर वोट किया और कांग्रेस की जीत हुई।
