The #TinkerExperiments was a series of attempts to erase Scottish Gypsy Traveller people and culture. They failed. whether it be running from the cruelty man to protect your children to enduring many years in places designed to rid you of your culture, we resisted and won.
Now it is extremely important to not allow the ongoing education and conversations about the #TinkerExperiments to be controlled by those who are unaffected. That's how nuance is lost.
Now their needs to be reparations for the direct victims and those suffering from the multi-generational trauma caused by the #TinkerExperiments
#TinkerExperiments Today will be a long day particularly for those who are still living in the first and one remaining Tinker Experiment camp. There is nothing historical about their situation, they live with this each and every day. They have been campaigning for decades for an apology, please let today be the day that they receive the apology and access to the redress that they deserve.

The children were told that their families didn't want them or that they all had died. The children were treated like absolute shit, just numbers on a sheet of paper. Many didn't live very long and some of them ran away, in foreign countries, as litaral kids! #tinkerexperiments
