Each episode is better than the one before, and the early episodes are better upon rewatches. Also, I always have quibbles with adaptations, but my biggest complaint adaptation-wise is that I wanted more time with Taliesin. The first couple episodes had to cover a whole book of material, and the show doesn’t handhold you through that lack of context. That being said, what they were able to do is truly impressive. The music was superb. The effects were solid. Plenty of standout performances from the main characters all the way down to actors with only a few minutes of screentime. I mean it when I say that I love this show. I am a huge fan of Lawhead, so I may have been predisposed to enjoy it, but that is also not always an indicator that I will like an adaptation (*cough* Wheel of Time *cough*). Go watch Pendragon Cycle! We have to get a season 2!
