Right now, every world runs on its own terms. Your progress lives in one game, your items in another, and every community builds its own economy, with nothing bigger tying it together.
That's the problem @torchct is working on: a connected ecosystem where Web3 games and supported gaming communities share one marketplace and, down the line, one token. One token, one ecosystem.
But the part I find more interesting than the token is the experience it points to: a place to discover communities, explore supported in-game economies, and trade eligible items or currencies without treating every game as a separate world.
First up is EmberWild, Torch's first seasonal game. It combines an open world, resource gathering, crafting, character progression, and skill-based arena duels, played in seasons. The trailer is out, and the game is listed as coming soon.
Let's be plain about where things stand: it's early. The marketplace, the planned token utilities, and the wider integrations are still being built, and the token hasn't launched. Execution will matter more than the pitch.
Still, gaming has never been just about the game. It's the communities we build and the worlds we keep coming back to. Making those worlds feel more connected is a question worth exploring.
