I think being on the campaign bus/plane together with a political leader during a campaign allows them to develop a certain sympathy with the candidates and tour people. I don't know why a campaign would want to avoid that. #Poilievre #CPC #tourfail

I think it was also a big mistake for Poilievre not to allow media on his campaign bus. That's how those organic, light, human moments on the campaign trail are captured. Poilievre needed that, if for no other reason than to make him less "scary" to traditionally NDP voters

@sunlorrie I'm unconvinced. Trudeau had lots of personal security agents surrounding him judging by the photos. I think this is what staffers call a #tourfail. But it may well have been deliberate to frame Trudeau as a victim.

@sunlorrie His campaign staff should have been on the alert for this possibility, so at the very least, #TourFail. But there is no excuse for not expressing clear and immediate regret after the event and denouncing Diagolon. Canadians will draw their own conclusions. #cdnpoli

I feel like we didn’t focus enough on the fact that someone in the Trump campaign meant to schedule the “four seasons hotel” but definitely accidentally scheduled this “four seasons landscaping” store and they had to follow through with it. Veep was not this good.
