#Tradcode - Twitter Hashtag

Recently read a response to a post about #NoCode on a blog. Said it was "a cancer". Wow - that is some hard triggering of one #tradcode bro.

That's quite enough baiting of #tradcode double digit Xers triggered by #nocode. Off to pressure wash the patio ☺️

@joshsnow @bubble Regardless of database tech, having a 'business' meaning for a field being blank/null beyond just 'this field is empty' is usually a bad idea for many reasons. We shouldn't always hark back to to our #tradcode cousins...but in this case we should.

Whether it is #tradcode or #lowcode or #nocode or a #pretotype made of straw ... our job is to solve problems. Even though they might be our own for now.

I have seen #NoCode go from Pearl Jam to where we are now I have seen #NoCode ignored by #TradCode I have seen #NoCode dismissed by #TradCode The fact we are now seeing #YesCode as a reaction to #NoCode tells us we are on to something. 2023 is going to be HUGE for #NoCode

Here is a @bubble conundrum for you all... User Auth is in a #tradcode app and unlikely to be able to do OAUTH provision. So we need to do some sort of 'secure' link into our app. Can't have separate logins. Help 🙂

2023 feels like it will be the year in which Investors start asking startups why they are using #tradcode rather than why they are using #NoCode 90% of the time it is the right decision to derisk.

There has been a bit of talk within #nocode about "shift right testing" - that is testing in post-production. @stripe asked me if I wanted to use their new invoice functionality today. Broke it in 5 minutes and reverted🤷‍♂️ It really is a thing even in #tradcode

@sahilkhosla The attitude of *some* in the #tradcode community. They act like they are the only ones who have the magic to make websites. 🤷‍♂️

@mattblake_uk @bubble Sadly a lot of #tradcode people think otherwise. Which I think is a good thing 🙂

The more experience I have with @bubble the less time I actually spend in the #Bubble editor 🤷‍♂️ Yup, two hours dicking around in the Google Developer Console 🙄 Connecting #NoCode tool to more #TradCode tools is as inevitable as it is annoying.

@joshsnow @mattdotroberts @drsleek @bubble So, in #Tradcode , you might put a comments in line with the code about "fix this later" or "here be dragons". I wonder if prefixing a workflow name with something might be useful. Maybe a !! ?

@bubble So, really, your only scalability concerns that MAY (or may not) arise are the "fringe" concerns, which can easily be built with #TradCode, integrated & combined into your core #NoCode stack, thereby maximizing your budget.

@bubble 2) Scalability is a problem that only companies with LOTS of revenue will EVER have to worry about. Once you have lots of revenue and a proven product, THEN a #TradCode dev team is much easier to take on

@bubble For most situations, neither are compelling enough reasons to hire a #TradCode CTO right out the gate. In 2022, it's VERY hard to find a feature #NoCode can't tackle. As for scalability, 3 things to think about:

Shipping very small small, incremental, valuable features is a habit. Get addicted to it. Big Bang is for #TradCode not #NoCode

@cromas @JJEnglert @bubble You need ONE full time 'dev'. Not a front end dev, a back end Dev, a product owner, a scrum master ... Most #nocode folks are T shaped. Most #tradcode Devs are I shaped.

@AmlieSolutions @bubble_hack @bestbubbledev @bubble Interesting that #tradcode are now looking at bigger teams to solve things. Maybe they just don't have the breadth of skills outside engineering?

The thing about a lot of #TradCode is that it often comes with baggage from a time when everything was really slow to do. Cycles times were months (even years!). Maybe weeks if they were really good. #NoCode allows you to move a lot faster 🧵
