15 year-old Frances Staudt removed herself from her basketball team's championship game in protest over the inclusion of a trans-identified male on the opposing team, playing for Shelton.
During the game, the boy, Andi Rooks, injured one of her teammates.
Frances decided to make a public statement on her Instagram account, condemning the participation of a male on a girls' basketball team.
She was sent death threats, and was told by her school that she was under investigation for harassing the boy.
