I went to a doctor of physical medicine today to get a #triggerpointinjection to help my spine pain. In Magnolia, the NP I went to would give me steroid shots every once in awhile. She did warn me of possible muscle damage in the future, but it was my choice. These shots helped me a lot. A few times, I had the epidural shots because it was much worse. Anyway, my PCP here won't do any kind of shot, so I had to find a specialist. It took me quite awhile and a lot of problems. The doctor today doesn't do the steroids, either, so she gave me a series of anesthetic shots that act like a muscle relaxer. She encouraged me to get the epidural shots or come back regularly for more trigger shots because these are safer to get more often. She also encouraged me to get physical therapy. She was very nice, but I do miss "Doctor Andie" (as they called her).

#Cervicalnerveblock on one side, then the other side. 6 all together. #triggerpointinjection in the mid back. Now to apply ice, take a muscle relaxer, get some sleep. It's extremely painful, but so is the pain to deal with on an everyday basis.

@ThomasKlineMD They want me 2 get #TriggerPointInjection or #SpinalCordStimulator or #PainPump ....My chief complaint is abdominal pain; feel like Im being squeezed 2 death. Neither of these will help. Now Im cut & forced 2 deal w/ #withdraws on my own. They only want 2 help w/ fibro pain. 🖕🏻
