#TripartiteCommitteeReport was deferred amidst tension and anxiety rather the politicians were seen chilling. A #tripartitecommittee was formed after last year June 24 multi-tier election which many international and local observers claimed lacked transparency on some of the critical stages particularly the tabulation of results. Any committee that is just made of politicians is but a sham and it is sad that the international community could set up such a compromised committee. A country’s democratic future must be done by its people and not just politicians, a political scientist noted. Just 3 days to the end of the much anticipated #TripartiteCommitteeReport, the talks and investigation on elections in Sierra Leone including the 2023 elections face deadlock as one of the parties, the main opposition #APC suspends its participation on the committee.
