An end to nation-building abroad. Lower inflation. Energy dominance. Protection for American tech workers over cheap foreign labor. Instead, we watched the same trap that has ensnared so many other nations play out here. The Broken Promises: • H-1B Visas: Trump campaigned aggressively against Silicon Valley replacing American workers. Instead, his administration has kept the program alive, added new fast-track “Trump Gold Card” pathways for wealthy foreigners, and sided with tech billionaires over American graduates. • Deportations: Mass deportation was a central campaign promise. The numbers have been far lower than promised, with major gaps between rhetoric and actual enforcement. • Ending Foreign Wars: Rather than ending conflicts, we’ve seen continued entanglement in the Middle East, including direct strikes on Iran and sustained support for operations in Ukraine. • Israel Aid: Despite repeated defiance and extreme actions by the Israeli government, U.S. support has never wavered. Billions continue flowing with virtually no conditions. They pretend to fight publicly but here we are. Meanwhile, the legislative agenda reveals the true priority: Section 219 of the FY2027 NDAA creates permanent military integration with Israel across AI weapons, cyber warfare, quantum technologies, and biotech. Other bills moving through Congress expand U.S.-Israel intelligence sharing and create new legal protections for Israeli officials. At the same time, legislation using the IHRA definition of antisemitism is being pushed to restrict criticism of Israel on college campuses and beyond, effectively turning political speech into a potential civil rights violation. The pattern is unmistakable. Trump has systematically replaced his original circle of Christian patriots and America First voices with hardline Zionists and neocons who prioritize Israel’s interests above America’s. This is the same trap that has captured nation after nation throughout history, a small, highly organized foreign lobby slowly bending the host country’s foreign policy, military, intelligence, and speech laws to serve its own interests while the public is distracted with domestic culture war theater. We were promised one thing. We are getting something entirely different. The American people were not supposed to notice that the “America First” brand was being used to deliver the deepest integration with a foreign power in our history. It’s time to stop pretending. Real sovereignty means putting American citizens, American borders, and American interests first, not Tel Aviv. The spell only works as long as we keep falling for the same trick. Wake up and stand up! We don’t have to play their game.
