Weka is only a few weeks into Tsavo life, but safe to say she already has a handle on things! Last month, Weka and fellow Nursery rascal, Shujaa, graduated to our Ithumba Reintegration Unit in Tsavo East National Park — marking an important step in their journey back to the wild. At the Nursery, Weka was known for being a bit of a rogue, but Ithumba Head Keeper Benjamin reports that she has been very humble and well-behaved thus far — although she often muscles her way to the front of the herd, so she can lead the way.
