For 20 years the Alwaldi family has hosted this free #Thanksgiving dinner at their #TwoStarMarket. They easily spend over $5000; this year I’m sending them a donation, too. https://t.co/TfP0AV6RQA #weloveoakland #thankfulforoakland

1/2 For 20 yrs the #Dimond’s #TwoStarMarket hosted community #Thanksgiving dinners. It’s owners beginning with #Yemeni #immigrants give back to the city today 1-4pm. It’s grown to dozens of #turkey’s, hundreds of chickens & food fr many #Dimond merchants https://t.co/jUovCPFIyu

1/2 Many thanks to Alawdi family 4 hosting our 19th #Dimond #Thanksgiving@ #TwoStarMarket. They cooked 100 turkeys! With 20+dishes fr #turkey to #BBQ to #tamales, most had a hard time choosing. Some said high prices made traditional Thanksgiving dinner hard this year #grateful

19yrs ago the immigrant #Yemeni family that owns #Oakland’s #DimondDistrict #TwoStarMarket hosted a #Thanksgiving celebration As council rep then I loved how merchants & neighbors came together to donate. I find true #spiritofthanksgiving here every year https://t.co/GP0ZmFuctu
