#GOWIN FAE Jack Russell Bruce explains how GOWIN's USB Audio Controller solution can be easily operated as an ASIO-supported USB audio interface using any Digital Audio Workstation.
The #UAC2 solution will utilize Windows drivers by default which is usable for most purposes, however for low latency applications an #ASIO driver can be deployed to allow programs to interact directly with the hardware, bypassing the layers of intermediary Windows operating system software to minimize latency.
In this short demo, Jack demonstrates how using free 3rd party software can turn GOWIN's UAC solution into a competitive USB audio interface, making excellent use of the high-resolution, high-sample-rate capable #FPGA hardware.

This UAC2 demo uses our GOWIN GW1N-LV9LQ144 FPGA and contains on-chip USB PHY. It uses up to 32bit/192kbps resolution to play high-quality audio from a Windows 11 computer using the #USB port.
In this demo, we connected a high-end home theater soundbar to the output of the #FPGA using the I2S interface. The soundbar contains DACs that receive 24-bit audio to produce high-quality sound without any interruptions.
