Through the Global Disability Fund Programme (formerly #UNPRPD), UNESCO is proud to have supported the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) in validating the draft Costed Plan for the National Disability Plan of Action (2024–2028), together with Government, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and key partners.
This milestone marks an important step toward strengthening how disability is planned and financed nationally, ensuring that persons with disabilities are meaningfully included in decision-making, budgeting, and development processes. It brings the country closer to fulfilling the commitments of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and opens the way for coordinated action across key areas such as advocacy, education, health, social protection, and mainstreaming.
