It observed infantry squads moving lighter and faster because the heavy stuff followed by air. Ukraine turned necessity into a complete transformation of frontline movement and supply. The Pentagon took notes, nodded, and chose to unlearn it all. Randy George himself visited Ukraine. He openly said the most impressive thing was how fast Ukrainians adapt and field new tech. That lesson apparently didn’t survive contact with Washington bureaucracy. While Moscow keeps throwing meat at the problem and Beijing studies every Ukrainian innovation for its own plans, the US Army is mothballing the very unit that was supposed to embed those lessons into its DNA. They are already rewriting logistics, reconnaissance, and attrition at the tactical level. Ukraine proved it with blood and code. Ignoring that signal because it disrupts old tables of organization is how great powers lose the next war before it starts. The battlefield has already moved. Washington just decided to move backwards.
