As a production engineer who has spent the majority of my professional life in manufacturing facilities, I cannot emphasise enough how much the unboxed process is a game changer. If Tesla make this happen, production costs will fall so dramatically that the competition will disappear from the market - wiped away. There is simply no way to compete with Tesla any more as product will remain superior but costs will be way down and with verxy low prices demand will grow exponentially. This will change everything and is a huge paradigm shift.

By the R2's planned debut in 2026, ELT will be ramp{ed,ing} at more than one gigafactory, but although I think ELT will be tougher than global standards - maybe even paintless like CT - it, and variants like a mini-van produced in the same lines (or #UnboxedProcess 'trees'), likely won't initially have a model as off-road capable as R2 is targeting. #EntryLevelTesla That''s why I'm hoping Tesla creates the Model Y Baja - A new Model Y trim with higher ground clearance (> 10"), preferably with AA suspension, slightly larger wheel diameter, Cybertruck's WadeMode and possibly Beast tri-motor drivetrain*, snowbank-reinforced trim**, etc. #ModelYBaja * Cyberbeast's tri-motor drivetrain is different from that in the Plaid Models S and X. #UnboxedProcess モノコックからフレームへの切替？大型ダイカストで6種のフレームを作りそれにプレス板や部品を取り付ける最後にフレーム同士を接合させるフレームに糊代として溶接部位を作ればボルト締めと接着剤活用で何とかなるんじゃ？？ギガプレスが初めて活きそうコストと重量が微妙
