Top Tweets for #UndueGame
Thank you all once again for participating in #UndueGame. The story-proper spanned 66 polls over 105 tweets, which - honestly sounds like some pretty small numbers considering how much time I've spent thinking about this setting.
I've so much to tell. Ask me anything.

(( You are free, la'chani. Go forth, and do good in the world. Thank you for playing #UndueGame. ))
- and as you melt into your throne, your pneuma draining and lifting and whirling away into the air, as your vision dims to static-white, you feel the collective relieved sigh of metal going to rest at last.
Death begins with you. It will sweep out into the universe.

Everything has been done before. Everything will be again.
You clack gently towards the throne.
You were a speck, and now you will be the crystal. You were the smudge, and now you will be the sky.
Your forelegs touch the throne, caress it, secure your grip upon it -
#UndueGame
Less than half an hour left and the final poll of #UndueGame is at a dead tie. The fate of so much lies in your hands.
(( Thank you so, so much, everyone who has ever voted, whether you've followed since May or dropped in just today. You are the soul behind this project. ))
You step beyond the cart, and around the corner - is one final room.
The throne waiting there is small and plain.

Deaths have arisen, claimed the mantle of tyrant, and set about destroying as they could before they were overthrown in turn.
You had participated in one such overthrow, it seems. For some reason.
Alone?
You stand alone, now, with corpses, and just around the corner...
#UndueGame
They crafted ways to hop between bodies. Then they crafted bodies of imperishable metal. And, as undying consciousnesses began to overflow the material limits of the universe, they began to bundle many souls into one collective body in a desperate effort to save space.
#UndueGame
This has happened before.
This has all happened before.
(There is no voice that is telling you this. No lines of code in the ether. You remember, now.)
When death was defeated the people celebrated - and then they could not die, minds outliving their rotting bodies.

This time the lightning is a spear you shoot right into the heart of the juggernaut. There's a strange filmy sort of resistance, but you bear down. A great crackling snapping noise emanates from the serfbot; the link fries away.
You stand alone with corpses.

Electricity arcs off of you, skipping eagerly from sliver to sliver - they fall to the ground -
- and jumps to the bodies on the cart too, which jerk and cry out and lie still -
- and then to the serfbot, who absorbs it and endures.
A charred silence follows.

As you draw near the cart, the body splits apart into several hundred pieces, each of the slivers wriggling and clinking away from one another. A few dozen of them begin crawling up your limbs.
A tiny, high-pitched whistling emanates from within you.
#UndueGame
The bird begins to crack and crumble in your grasp. Flakes and bits of feather start shivering away from the main body.
The serfbot juggernaut creaks slightly, and moves as if preparing to resume drawing the cart.
