Victoria buyout-
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀
The Victoria buyout adds about ₹58 extra to earnings per share over the next 5 years. That is a lot for a company where earnings per share today is ₹16.
The extra earnings come in two waves.
Wave one is FY28. This is the first full year when UniHealth counts 99.81 percent of Victoria's profit as its own, up from 50 percent today. The jump is instant. Earnings per share goes from ₹18 to ₹43 in one year.
Wave two is FY30 and FY31. This is when the Uganda hospital earns more per patient and the India hospitals also hit full strength. Total profit goes up to ₹158 crore by FY31.
There is a second gift sitting on top of the buyout.
Victoria pays zero corporate tax in Uganda until June 2034. That is 8 more years of tax free profit. Earlier I thought this tax break was worth ₹35 to ₹40 crore. After the buyout, UniHealth owns all of Victoria instead of half. And Victoria is making more money than I had assumed. Redoing the math, the tax break is worth ₹80 to ₹120 crore. Roughly ₹25 more per share of value that I had missed earlier.
Add both up.
The old model said FY29 earnings per share would be about ₹46. The new model says ₹60. That is a 30 percent jump in the profit number that decides fair price.

Unihealth Hospitals 📞 Q4 & FY26 Concall Summary #UNIHEALTH
🟡 MANAGEMENT PROJECTION :
UniHealth targets 1,000 commissioned beds by end-2028, expecting to reach ~600 by FY27 end. They aim for 55-60% consolidated occupancy yielding an ARPOB of ~30,000 rupees, targeting consolidated EBITDA margins in the early 30s through 2028. For FY27, they anticipate 500-600 beds operational, targeting an ARPOB of 75 lakhs to 1 crore rupees per bed annually, doubling revenues. The top line is projected at 250-300 crores this year with 60% occupancy at an ARPOB of 27,500 rupees per day.
🔴 Red Alert :
The company acknowledged a dip in H2 Ugandan revenue and PAT due to a lean Christmas break and elections, leading to a lost month and a half of productive period. Significant infrastructural expansion in Uganda also incurred substantial maintenance and upgrading expenses. Furthermore, delays in licensing for Tanzanian facilities, particularly the 5-year general government elections, caused a quarter's setback, impacting the commissioning timeline for the Mwanza facility.
🟢 Green Alert :
For H2 FY26, consolidated total income grew 18.4% YoY to 67.5 crores, with EBITDA at 24.2 crores and profit attributable to shareholders at 10.7 crores, a 19% increase. For the full year FY26, total income rose 34.6% to 137 crores, EBITDA jumped nearly 49% to 58.8 crores, and profit attributable to shareholders increased by 83% to 25.8 crores. EBITDA margin expanded over 400 basis points to 42.9%, demonstrating strong operating leverage and service mix improvements.
🔵 Blue Alert :
FY26 was transformational with the commissioning of the Navi Mumbai hospital, finalized lease for Nashik, and acquisition of UMC Hospital in Uganda, doubling bed capacity to around 400. The company is focusing on integrating new facilities, strengthening specialty care, and driving operational efficiencies across its diversified model spanning hospital operations, consultancy, pharma exports, medical value travel, and infrastructure development. Medical tourism is emerging as a successful vertical, with over 250 live inquiries and successful patient reception from Tanzania.
🧠 Deep Insight :
UniHealth is strategically balancing high-margin African opportunities with Indian scalability, aiming for roughly 550 beds in India and similar capacity in Africa by 2028. The company's asset-light model and focus on cost-effectiveness allow them to offer competitive pricing, attracting doctors and patients alike by providing better infrastructure with greater agility. The key driver remains disciplined execution and integration of new capacities, coupled with expanding super-specialties like IVF and cardiology to boost ARPOB and occupancy.
