Eskom is aware of the electricity supply interruption affecting customers supplied from Bredasdorp F2 following a fault that occurred at approximately 03:00 on 16 September 2026 due to the strong winds experienced over the past few days.
Difficult terrain and obstructed access have delayed restoration efforts.
Eskom technicians are on site to fully assess the line and determine the extent of any damage and required repairs before supply can be restored.
Customers in areas outside Napier, including Sandfontein and surrounding farms, will unfortunately remain without electricity until the line has been cleared and the network declared safe. There is no estimated time of restoration at this stage.
