WeBank of Hong Kong (founded by TenCent and other Chinese companies) recently launched project "POTOS" that operates on Chinas blockchain infrastructure
(FISCO) to strengthen Hong Kong's Web3 ecosystem and future.
The first phase of project POTOS includes a blockchain based framework to bridge "asset classes" and support cross chain "protocols" for atomic swaps for scalable digital transactions. We know a good protocol or two with some links here.. (just saying)..
Another aim of this blockchain initiative is to focus on RWA tokenization in Hong Kong, something we know $VELO is already big on in Thailand.

In January 2025, WeBank announced strategic expansion to bolster its WEB3 presence. SCBX of Thailand was an expansion partner.
SCBX has many subsidiaries, such as SCB and SCB10X.
SCBX's primary subsidiary = SCB. SCB, SCB10x (SCBX investment arm), Lightnet, and Fireblocks = Stablecoin project that has exited Thailands digital Sandbox for remittances and cross-border transactions.
Seems like a little corridor via $VELO and Lightnet into China and Hong Kong that could have some huge impact ~ #NFA ๐
Stablecoins give money the same superpower the web gave information: instant, global reach.
Well, you never know but they have #USDL and the #Velo relationship now, and while $USDL is a yield-bearing stablecoin, #USDV is not. $USDV may use #USDL as part of its reserve, which does strengthen its collateral pool, but to my understanding it does not pass on that yield to #USDV holders. I am speculating now.
Singapore and Japan...totally agree, theyโre major financial hubs and super strict when it comes to regulation. If #Velo really wants to scale across the region, getting compliant and plugged into those markets is a must. The fact that #USDL is already regulated under Abu Dhabiโs FSRA gives it a solid head start to match up with the standards in Asia.
This post completely misses the point of what $Velo is trying to achive with USDV.
There is a reason why @veloprotocol picked the least known product of @Paxos for collateral
