#VOCDay was first recognized in the United States on November 7, 2017—the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution—by a proclamation from President Donald Trump and a bipartisan resolution in Congress. Virginia became the first state to adopt Victims of Communism Day as law.

More than 100 million people have been killed in 40+ nations ruled by a Communist Party over the last 105 years. I applaud @GovRonDeSantis and the state of Florida for recognizing November 7 as #VOCDay and committing to teach students the truth about communism.

Today, I established November 7th as Victims of Communism Day to honor those who have suffered under communism and remind people of the destruction communism has caused worldwide, including a death toll exceeding 100 million. In Florida, we will tell the truth about communism.
