Wrong: Charles #Slayback was not a #Confederate veteran. He paid somebody else to take his place in the Union Army. Missouri Senate candidate Trudy Busch Valentine apologizes for participating in #VeiledProphetBall. https://t.co/uh2dstejvi via @stltoday

The #VeiledProphetBall has been accepting black participants since 1979. If it’s unacceptable to be associated with something that used to be considered racist then why does the Jim-Crow-law-defending Democrat party still exist?

Nobody in St Louis, the location of the #VeiledProphetBall, thinks Ellie Kemper is a racist. None of her accusers had previously heard of her or the debutante ball she attended before they pretended to get upset. A minimal amount of research puts the outage to bed.

Thirteen years ago I sat down with Percy Green to discuss the St. Louis Veiled Prophet and the time he and his group of activists unmasked the Klan-like figure. Watch: https://t.co/8obp1VmCDH #veiledprophet #VeiledProphetBall #stl #stlmade
