In a groundswell of popular demand never before witnessed in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic, millions of citizens, youth organizations, women’s groups, professional bodies, traditional institutions, and progressive political leaders have endorsed His Excellency, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, as the sole candidate capable of liberating Nigeria from economic stagnation, insecurity, and institutional decay come 2027.
Under the banner “Seyi Makinde: The Liberator – 2027 and Victory is Sure”, a broad-based coalition cutting across party lines, ethnic groups, and religious affiliations has formally declared total and unflinching support for Governor Makinde to contest and win the presidency in the February 2027 general election.
Speaking at the public presentation of the movement in Kano, Kano State, the National Coordinator, Ambassador Saeed Ibrahim, declared:
“Engineer Seyi Makinde is not just a performer; he is a liberator. In six years, he has transformed Oyo State into Nigeria’s most investor-friendly destination, delivered over 1,000 kilometers of roads, revolutionized public education, ensured prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and abolished the oppressive consultant collection system in our tertiary institutions. If one state can be fixed this fast, imagine what he will do for 36 states and the entire Federation.”
The coalition highlighted Governor Makinde’s unmatched credentials:
• The only governor in Nigeria paying both salary and pension obligations without owing a single month since 2019
• Architect of the 265km Ibadan Circular Road, the largest single infrastructure project by any sub-national in West Africa
• Pioneer of free and qualitative education with over ₦40 billion invested in school infrastructure and teacher welfare
• Champion of youth empowerment through agribusiness schemes that have lifted thousands out of poverty
• A detribalized Nigerian who has appointed non-indigenes into sensitive positions and united the South-West like never before.
The movement formally launched the hashtag #Seyi2027TheLiberator and #VictoryIsSure, which within hours trended number one nationwide and across the Nigerian diaspora.
The coalition has scheduled town hall meetings in all six geo-political zones beginning January 2026, with a National Convention slated for June 2026 to formerly adopt Engr. Seyi Makinde as the consensus candidate of the Nigerian people.
Nigeria has decided.
The Liberator is coming.
